DATE ANNOUNCED FOR NEW POLICE CHIEF SWEARING IN
SOUTH BEND The swearing in ceremony for Ron Teachman as the next Chief of Police for
the South Bend Police Department will occur Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. The
tentative location is the South Bend Police Department. The Mayor's Office and Police
Department will coordinate this community event and Mr. Teachman will be available for media
interviews following the official ceremony. Please call the number above or email Mike Schmuhl
