HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-07-86 Personnel & Finance PERSONNEL AND FINANCE COMMITTEE The November 7, 1986 meeting of the committee was called to order by its chairman Councilman Ann Puzzello at 3: 52 p.m. T. Brooks Brademas discussed the method the city charged apartments for water and sewage. He indicated he would continue fighting the city regarding these charges. Tom Bodnar indicated the suit against the city regarding this matter had been settled. John Leszczynski indicated the clean up crew is going to become a part of the Solid Waste operation. He indicated Pat DeClercq will still determine which lots will get cleaned, but we will establish when they are cleaned. Morgan Peck gave a report on the Solid Waste Department. The committee asked John Leszczynski to make a report on Solid Waste and the sewage problems at the November 24 Council meeting. Council Member Barcome asked about the raise in uniform cost in the budget. Carol Sanders explained there were four people transferred from Code Enforcement into the Solid Waste budget. Council Member Paszek made a motion to recommend these budgets to the Council favorably, seconded by Council Member Puzzello. The motion carried. John Leszczynski explained that the Solid Waste Depreciation Fund allows for the purchase of another truck. Council Member Paszek made a motion to recommend this budget to the Council favorable, seconded by Council Member Beck. The motion carried. Council Member Beck made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Council Member Serge. The meeting was adjourned at 4:45 p.m.
