Committee was called to order by its chairman, Councilman Ann
Puzzello at 4 : 30 p.m. in the Council informal meeting room.
Persons in attendance included Councilmen Serge, Braboy,
Barcome, Zakrzewski, Puzzello; Brian Hedman, Carol Sanders, Bonnie
Strycker, Dale Balsbaugh, members of the news media and Kathleen
Cekanski-Farrand.
Councilman Puzzello noted that the first item on the agenda
was to review Bill No. 97-86 which would appropriate $13,000 from
the Improvement Fund of the Morris Civic Auditorium.
Mr. Brian Redman noted that the funds in this Fund were
those received from the 50 cents per ticket per user plus any
matching grants from such associations as the Broadway Theater
League, etc.
The money would be used for two projects, namely: the
• replacement of the stage deck which is a wood top layer which would

of yellow pine in borings, however it was explained that the floor .
should last about 15 years.
Following further discussion by the Committee, Councilman
Serge made a motion seconded by Councilman Braboy to recommend
Bill No. 97-86 favorably to Council. The motion passed unanimously.

The Committee then reviewed Bill No. 98-86 which would vacate
Fund No. 91 and transfer the funds to the Youth Service Bureau of
St. Joseph County, Inc.
Carol Sanders noted that. she is seeking authority to write
checks against the account so that it may be closed out and proceeds
given to the Youth Service Bureau of St. Joseph County, Inc.
