HomeMy WebLinkAbout08-18-86 Human Resources HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE The August 18, 1986 meeting of the Human Resources Committee was called to order to its chairman Councilman Eugenia Braboy at 5: 25 p.m. , in the Council meeting room. Council Member Braboy indicated the purpose of the meeting was to discuss to abatements one for Cerilean Products and the other for Steel Warehouse. Jon Hunt read the Redevelopment staff report on Cerilean Products. Tim Woods, attorney representing Cerilean Products indicated they were applying for real and personal property abatement. He indicated they planned to add on to their existing facility, as well as purchase machinery. Council Member Beck made a motion that this resolution received a favorable recommendation. Jon Hunt read the Redevelopment staff report on Steel Warehousing. Gerald Lerman, indicated that Steel Warehousing, planned to purchase machinery which would keep them competitive in the market. He indicated that 7 to 15 new jobs will be created. Council Member Taylor made a motion to recommend this resolution to the Council favorable, seconded by Council Member Braboy. The motion carried. Council Member Beck made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Council Member Puzzello. The motion carried.
