Lafayette Blvd, South Bend, IN 46601 Members present: Brad Rohrscheib, Toy Villa, Gerard Ellis, Jonathan Jones (Teams), Clara McDaniels (Teams). 1. Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 10:05 AM by President Rohrscheib. 2. Approval of minutes Upon a motion by Rohrscheib and seconded by Villa the minutes from the previous meeting held on November 2nd, 2021, were approved unanimously. 3. Approval of Special Event Permits a. Winter Walk St Margaret's House-February 20, 2022 Each year St. Margaret's House hosts their largest fundraiser, Winter Walk in February. This walk is a one mile walk through downtown South Bend that benefits their year- round services and programs for women and children in the Community. The walk starts at the County-City Building and the participants walk on the sidewalks along Lafayette Blvd, Lasalle Ave, Main St, and Wayne St and concludes at St Margaret's House. Officers block the cross streets as needed. The walk doesn't require assistance from Traffic/Lighting. No sidewalk closures are anticipated during the timeframe of the walk. Upon a motion by Rohrscheib and seconded by Ellis the permit was approved unanimously. b. Walk MS South Bend-May 14, 2022 Walk MS is a community focused event and walk that encourages participant fundraising to support the MS Society in creating a world free of MS. Participants will enjoy a vendor fair, music, and entertainment before a walk to support those living with MS. The walk begins at the IUSB campus and follows Northside Blvd to the Farmer's Market. Volunteers will momentarily stop traffic as the participants leave the IUSB campus and cross onto Northside Blvd. The short route utilizes the pedestrian bridge and circles around student housing. No questions or concerns were voiced by the Committee. Page | 2 Upon a motion by Rohrscheib and seconded by Villa the permit was approved unanimously. 4. Other Business 5. Privilege of the Floor – None 6. Adjournment With no additional business, Rohrscheib motioned for adjournment and Villa seconded. The meeting ended at 10:15 AM.
