2021 SB Stat Key Takeaways
• 21 CP Project Portfolio Updates
o Surveys – Cards updated with final recommendations and ready for implementation.
o Post-Incident Reporting – The master document folder on the shared drive is ready for use with editing and access permissions in place.
• Open Data Improvements and Automation
o Efforts to reduce touch points on Open Data and increase automated data flows have been under way over the past quarter
• Gun Violence Report
o New start date determined to be in mid/late January
o Topics to be discussed at the first update are 1) Shot Spotter Connect 2) Group Violence Intervention outreach and enforcement
• Quarterly Tracking Statistics
o Group Violence Intervention – Percentage of Custom Notification contacts that return as suspects has remaining stable, where the number of victims has increased from 10% to 11%. Number of victims have been trending upward overtime but, 2021 has less victims than 2020.
o Crime + Community – Serious crimes have remained stable from Q3 to Q4 with the largest number of incidents occurring in District 2. Contrary to expectation, most serious crimes occur between 7am to 6pm.
o Training + Recruitment – Officers able to retire and considering retirement has stayed stable from Q3 to Q4.
