The April 17, 1984 meeting of the. Older Adults Committee was called
to order at 5 :10 p.m. by its Chairman, Councilman Al Paszek in the Council
Tnformal Meeting Room.
Persons in attendance included:. Councilmen. Serge, Braboy, Beck,
Puzzellod Taylor, Paszek, Crone, and Zakrzewski, James Seitz., and Kathleen
Cekanski-Farrand.
Councilman Paszek stated that the purpose of the meeting was to
review Bill No. 39-84 which would appropriate $25, 000 of Revenue Sharing
money for the Howard Park Senior Citizens Center.,

Mr. Seitz explained that the money would be used to fund the
salaries of the Director, Assistant Director, and part-time custodian
at the Howard Park Senior Citizens Center. He noted that there are
approximately 140 active full-time members who take part in various seminars,
arts and craft programs and other social and recreational activities.
Councilman Crone noted that this is the same amount that had been
budgeted before.
Following discussion Councilman Crone made a motion seconded by
Councilman Braboy that Bill No. 39-84 receive a favorable recommendation
from the Committee. The motion passed unanimously.
Councilman Paszek then adjourned the meeting at 5 :15 p.m.
