Jacobs, Michael Vance,
Doug Carpenter, Members of the News Media, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand.
Councilman Serge noted that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss
Bill No. 52-84 which would approve a contract between Peerless-Midwest, Inc.
and the Board of Water Works Commissioners in the amount of $271, 617 for the
construction of the Northwest well field on Cleveland Road.
Mr. Jacob explained that there were three bids received and that
Peerless was the low bidder-. This area has a low iron content and therefore
was selected in light of the projected new growth and development in this area
of town.
There are presently 6 wells down at the Olive Street Station and
that three wells are hoped to be back in service later this year. The new
Northwest well field would provide the City with ample reserves.
Following further discussion by the Committee, Councilman Beck made
a motion seconded by Councilman Paszek that Bill No. 52-84 go to Council
favorably. The. motion passed unanimously.
•
There being no further business to come before the Committee, the
meeting was adjourned at 5 :15 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Joseph Serge, Chairman
•
•
•
••.[ ►.H. .ge,.. .Val.Mlw• CO.
