W. SW S of Road Adj . Bradford 30-37-4E (Pcnn Township) ■ historical notes According to the Penn Township Assessor' s Office, this structure was built in 1880. At that time, the West half of the South West quarter of Section 30, Township 37, Range 4E was the property of Gerry Buttles. The property was sold several times in the follow- ing years until it was purchased by James Cook in 1887. The Cook family owned the property for many years. No mention is made in any of the deeds transferring the property of an exception of land used for school purposes.
