The October 24, 1983 meeting of the Zoning and Vacation Committee
was called to order by its Chairman, Councilman John Voorde at 5 :45 p.m. in
the Council informal meeting room.
Persons in attendance included: Councilmen Serge, Szymkowiak, Zielinski,
McGann, Beck, Voorde, Harris and Crone, Sherrie Petz, Jim Wensits, John
Leszczynski, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand.
Councilman Voorde noted that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss
bill no. 98-83 which dealt with the vacation of the first alley east of
Eddy Street, in the Sunnymede First Addition. Councilman Voorde noted that
Mrs. Paul R. Bowles was present and she gave the public safety reasons why
she believed the alley should be vacated. It was also noted that appropriate
easements and conveyances allowing access to garages are now on file with ,the
Board of Public Works. A copy of the memorandum confirming the agreement
procedure is attached.
Following further discussion Councilman Szymkowiak made a motion
seconded by Councilman Beck that bill no 98-83 go to Council favorably.
The motion passed unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting
was adjourned at 6 :00 p.m._
