HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-27-83 Personnel & Finance a4mm ttUrt iWort PERSONNEL AND FINANCE COMMITTEE The June 27, 1983 meeting of the Personnel and Finance Committee was called to order at 5:45 p.m. by its Chairman, Councilman Joseph Serge in the Council informal meeting room. The persons in attendance included Councilmen Voorde, Harris, Zielinski, Taylor, Beck, Serge, Szymkowiak, and McGann, Colleen Rosenfeld, Jon Hunt, Bonnie Strycker, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. Councilman Serge noted that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss two bills sent to his committee for review and recommendation. Bonnie Strycker explained that Bill No. 50-83 would appropriate $41,128 from the Youth Service Fund for various operating expenses. The Committee discussed the need of the appropriation, and Councilman Szymkowiak mentioned that he has received several complaints of residents in the neighborhood where employees park directly in front of their property thereby eliminating the property owner' s right to park. Ms.Strycker stated that she would look into the matter. Mrs. Rosenfeld then explained Bill No 54-83 which would transfer $314,622 among various accounts within the Division of Community Development. She brought a substitute bill which amended the amount for the Bureau of Housing. Following further discussion, Councilman Zielinski made a motion seconded by Councilman Serge to recommend Bill No 50-83 favorably to Council. The motion passed unanimously. Councilman Zielinski then made a motion to recommend the substitute verison of Bill No 54-83 favorably to Council. It was seconded by Councilman Harris. The motion passed unanimously.
