The South Bend Common Council met in Executive Session on June 17, 1983
at 10: 00 a.m. in the Green Room of the Century Center.
The purpose of the meeting was to meet with the Firefighters Wage
Committee and the Police Officers Wage Committee to discuss fringe benefits
for 1984.
The Council first met with the Firefighters Wage Committee with the
following persons in attendance: Councilmen Voorde, Taylor, Serge, Beck,
Zielinski, Szymkowiak, Harris, Joseph Kernan, Eugenia Schwartz, Attorney David
Keckley, Dan Mirocha, Frank Kanieski, and other members of the Wage Team. A
copy' of the statement given out by President Beck is attached.
At 11: 05 the Council met with the Police Officers Wage Committee with.
the following persons in attendance: Councilmen Voorde, Taylor, Serge,
Harris, and Beck, Joseph Kernan, Eugenia Schwartz, Terry Bensley, Tom Gish,
Mike Swanson, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. A copy of the statement given
out by President Beck is attached.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:15 a.m.
