The Septebmer 13, 1982 meeting of the Residential Neighborhoods
Committee was called to order by its chairman, Beverlie Beck at 5 : 30 p.m. in
the Council Meeting Room.
Persons in attendance included: Councilmen McGann, Taylor, Voorde,
Crone, Harris, Beck, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand.
The purpose of the meeting was to review Bill. No. 96-82 which would
vacate the alley next to the Penny Saver. Councilman Beck advised the
Committee that the Board of Public Works gave an unfavorable recommendation
in light of the fact that the Penny Saver would not grant a permanent
easement.
Following discussion, Councilman Taylor made a motion seconded by
Councilman Voorde to recommend Bill No. 96-82 unfavorably to the Common
Council. There being no further business to come before the Committee the
meeting was adjourned at 5 :40 p .m.
