The November 22, 1982 meeting of the Personnel and Finance Committee
was called to order by its chairman Councilman Beverly Crone at 5 :30 p.m. in
the Council informal meeting room.
Persons in attendance included: Councilmen Serge, Szymkowiak, Beck,
McGann, Taylor, Zielinski, Crone, Harris and Voorde; -Sherrie Petz, Kathy
Hubbard, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand.
Councilman Crone stated that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss
Bill No. 132-82 which would create three new positions in the 1983 salary
ordinance. Councilman Crone noted that these positions had been discussed at
length during the time of the budget review. It was noted .that one position
would be created for Discovery Hall, eight positions for the Police Department,
and two positions for the Water Works.
Following discussion by the Committee, Councilman McGann made a motion
seconded by Councilman Voorde that the Bill No. 132-82 be recommended favorably
to Council. The motion passed 4-0. Ms. Hubbard-also noted that all of the
persons are on staff presently, except for the Archivist. •
There being no further business to come before the Committee the meeting
was adjourned at 5 :40 p.m.
