MINUTES - Meeting September 23, 1981
Members Present: Randall Chrobot, Gail Dowty, Frank Yeandel,
Howard Rogers, William Burke, Ed Baer,
Myron Busby, David Albert,
The meeting was called to order at 3:25 P.M. by acting Chairman,
Frank Yeandel. The approval of the previous meeting minutes was
waived.
- - A. Nominating Committee Report - A slate of recommendations
included :
DavideAlbert - President
Bill Burke - Vice President
Jim Markle - Secretary
Frank Yeandel- Advisor
B. Election - Unanimous with one obstaintion for Vice President.
C. Goals - (Meeting conducted by David Albert) .
1. Filling vacancies on the Commission.
2 . Becoming more county-wide in scope once establishing
ourselves locally.
3 . Concern over sometime acquiring energy staff person
in the City.
4. Institution energy catalogue.
Visibility in the community i.e. energy fair, essay
contest, *energy booth in county/City Building.
6. Carpooling program possibly like the one MACOG has
developed and promote one ourselves .
7. Energy curtailment plan update.
8. Representation on commission of utility companies .
9. Sunshine policy for publicizing meetings .
10. Obtain support from higher educational institutions
through student newspapers ; energy clubs - Michiana
Solar Roundtable.
11. Discuss findings of the city fleet report currently being
done by John Stancati.
D. Next meeting date - October 21, 1981 at 3:00 P.M.
