AN ORDINANCE APPROPRATING THE SUM OF $337 , 000
FROM THE LIABILITY INSURANCE PREMIUM AND RESERVE
FUND TO ACCOUNT 342 . 0 IN THE AMOUNT OF $187 , 000
AND ACCOUNT 391 . 0 IN THE AMOUNT OF $150 , 000 , BOTH
ACCOUNTS BEING WITHIN THE SELF-INSURANCE DEPARTMENT
BUDGET .
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT :
The City of South bend has , during 1986 , experienced a
large increase in insurance premiums and an increased level of claims
settled;
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED By the Common Council of the
City of South Bend, Indiana as follows :
SECTION I . The following sums of money are hereby
appropriated as set forth below:
342 . 0 Insurance Premiums $187 , 000 . 00
391 . 0 Refunds , Awards , Indemnities 150 , 000 . 00
TOTAL $337 , 000 . 00
SECTION II . This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval by the the Mayor .
