ORDINANCE NO. 1(q g(o AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $90 ,250 . 00 FROM THE WATER WORKS DEPRECIATION FUND TO DEFER ADDITIONAL EXPENDITURES FOR DEPRECIABLE ASSETS STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: Funds are needed to defer the cost of additional equipment and Capital Improvements obtained by the Water Works . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: SECTION I : That the sum of $90 , 250 . 00 is hereby appropriated for the year 1986 from Water Works Depreciation Fund of the City of South Bend, Indiana as described below: ACCOUNT PROJECT AMOUNT 363 Equipment Repair $28 , 000 . 00 428 Office Equipment $34 , 750 . 00 435 Plant and Equipment - Meters $27 ,500 . 00 SECTION II : This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor. SMURR Director Members of the Common Council Council Chambers County-City Building 4th Floor South Bend, Indiana 46601 Dear Members of the Council : Attached you will find three Ordinances for additional appropriations needed by South Bend Water Works Depreciation Fund, the South Bend/Clay Sewage Works Operating and Maintenance , and Depreciation Fund. I have enclosed a brief description of each below for your information. The additional appropriation from the Water Works Depreciation Fund. These funds are needed to defer the cost of additional capital improvements and equipment obtained by the Water Works . These additions and/or improvements were in the area' s of, Water Meters , Office Equipment , and large equipment Overhauls and Repairs . The additional appropriation from the South Bend/Clay Sewage Works Operating and Maintenance Fund. These funds are needed to meet the cost of managerial services provided by the South Bend Water Works and Sewage Treatment provide the South Bend Waste Water Treatment Plant. This is the first year of budgeting for the South Bend/Clay system and these additional funds are to meet under estimated expenses . The additional appropriation from the South Bend/Clay Water Works Depreciation Fund. These funds are needed to defer the cost of two water main extensions made to the South Bend/Clay Water System.
