Be it resolved by the Board of Public Works that whereas a certain building known
and described as No. 805 W. Division street, situated upon the following described real
estate, to wit:-- East 2Y3 of Lot 15 of Ruckmans sub -division of B.O.L No. 75 in the
City of South Bend, Indiana, St. Joseph Councy, is delapidated andunsafe and in danger
of falling down,
Now therefore, it is directed by said Board that the owner of said building of
his agent be served with notice to appear before this board onSaturday March 9th, 1907,
at 10 A. M. to show cause why said building should not be torn down or destroyed as
unsafe, under Ordinance No. 1375 of the City of South Bend.

Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of Soutfl Bend, Indiana: That it
Is desirable to vacate the following
The alley fourteen (14) feet in width running North and South from Bronson street
to the south line of the Lake Shore & Michigan Southern Railroad Company's Right of Way
and between lots Nos. 23, 24, 32 & 33 in Martin & Tutts Addition to the City of
South Bend, Indiana.
The following property may be injuroiusly or beneficially effected by such vacation,:
Lots 23, 24 32 & 33 in Martin & Tutt's Add. Owned by Studebaker Bros. Mfg. Co.
Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 9th day of March and on the

That it is desirable to vacate the following.*
The alley twelve (12) feet wide that runs North from Tutt street to Robertson
street, between Lots Nos. 6 & 7 on the plat of Elliot-Tutt's Add to the City of S.Bend
That portion of Robertson street lying North of'ihe above alley and north of
lotf seven (7) and of the East half (1/2) of lot eight (9) in Elliot Tutt's

Contract signed with the StudebAker Bros Mfg Co for the use of the easterly
four (4) feet of Lot No. 244, and all of Lot No. 243. A total of 29 feet in all, in
Daniel Garst's Addition to South Bend City, now a part of the City of South Bend. Said
land to be used for park purposes for the No. 2 Hose House on West Sample street.
The Board having under consideration the matter of bids for Pipe Sewer on Pagin
street from Linden avenue to Hine street; Cement walks on E Wayne street from St.
Peter street to Eddy street; Walk & Curb on Cedar street from Emerick street to Hill
s-treet; Grade, Curb & Walk on St -Peter street from Sorin street to South Beni Avenue,
Grade, Curb & Walk on Miller Court from Sample street to Osborne street; under
Improvement Resolutions Nos. 3715 4061" 405, 407 & 404 respectively.
Be it resolved that notices be published in the South Bend Daily Times on the 13
day of March and on the 20th day of March, 1907, to the effect that this Board will
receive bids for said improvements up to 10 A.M. on the 2nd day of April, 1907.
The Board reserves theright to reject any or all bids.

Chief of Police instructed to notify owners of a barge, which is now tied to a tree
at Howard Park, to move same at once.

improvement be made of the kind, size, location and terminal points as follows: Macadam
Cement Walk & Curb on Anderson Court from Park avenue to Leeper.avenue. Said improvemes
shall be known and designated'as "THE ANDERSON COURT'MACADAM, WALK & CURB IMPROVEMENT"
and shall be constructed according to theplans and specifications prepared by the City
Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the
20th day of March and on the 27th day of March 1907, in the South Bend Daily Times.
This Board will give a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City Hall.on the
9th day of April, 1907, at 7:15 P. M.

an improvement be -made of the kind, size, location and terminal points as follows:-

improvement shall be known and designated as "THE MERRY AVENUE GRADE CURB_& WALK
IMPROVEMENT" and shall be constructed according to the plans and specifications
prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of this resolution shall
be published on the 20th day of March and on the 27th day of March' 1907,-in the

on the 20th day of March and on the 27th day of Larch 1907, in the South Bend Daily
Times. This Board will give a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City

Rolls and final estimates for Pipe Seweron College street & Linden avenue;:Pipe Sewer
on Notre Dane street from Jefferson street to Sorin street; Pipe Sewer on Leland avenue
from the 1st angle in Leland avenue to Hudson avenue, under Improvement Resolutions

In the matter of the final hearing under Improvement Resolution No. 416 for

until Saturday March 23rd, 1907, at 10 A. M.`

Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That an

25th day of February 1907- Said improvement shall be known and designated as the
"EAST BRONSON STREET WATER CONNECTION IMPROVEMENT" and sha'1 be constructed according

Notice of proposals for the execution of the above work shall be published on the 27th
day of March and on the 3rd day of April 1907, in the South Bend Daily Times. This
Board will receive bids up to 10 A. M. on the 9th day of April 1907.

prepared by the City Civil Engineer, Filed herewith. Notice of proposals for bids

IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 435.
Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That an,
improvement be made of the kind, size, location and terminal points as follows: 17
water connections on Crescent avenue as per report filed with the Common. Council and
adopted on the 25th day of February 1907- Said improvement shall be known and desig-
nated as "THE CRESCENT AVENUE WATER CONNECTION IMPROVEMENT" and shall be constructed
according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed
herewith. Notice of proposals for bids for the execution of the above work shall be
published on the 27th day of March and on the 3rd day of April 1907, in the South
Bead Daily Times. This Board will receive bids for said work up to 10 A. M. on the
Tuesday March 26th, 1907.

Leland avenue Pipe Sewer Improvement.
Leland avenue Pipe Sewer Assessment Roll and the Notre Dame street Pipe Sewer
Assessment Rolls were amended.
Hearing given on Assessment Rolls and final estimates for Pipe Sewer on
College street & Linden avenue from Fassnacht avenue to Johnson street; Pipe Sewer on
Notre Dame street from Jefferson street to Sorin street; Pipe Sewer on Leland avenue
from the 1st angle in Leland avenue -to Hudson avenue, under improvement Resolutions
Nos. 3s7, 403 & 412 respectively.
No further remon.strantors appeared and no further remonstrances were filed., All
other remonstrances were over —ruled. The Board therefore find that the property assessd
in said rolls filed February 26th, 19072 is benefitted in the amount of assessments
as shown on said rolls, and the Board further find that the assessment rolls filed
February 26th, 1907, a d:uthe final estimate allowed February 26th, 1907, should be and
the same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approvedt as amended.

Engineer reported grade on May street; Haney avenue and Broadway St. Approved.
Hearing given on Vacation Resolution No. 44, vacating the following described
property, to -wit;
The alley fourteen feet in width running North and -South from Bronson street to
the Lake Shore & Michigan Southern Railroad Company's Right.of Way and between lots
Nos. 23, 24, 32 & 33 in Martin & Tutt's Addition to the City of South Bend, Indiana.
In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed.
The Board therefore declare the above described. property in all things vacated..
The property of the Studebaker Bras..Mfg. Co. is benefitted in the amount of
V.5--00. No property is injuriously effected. The property of the Studebaker Bros.
Mfg. Co. is therefore assessed in the amount of �`i 400. Now comes the Studebake
Bros.-14fg Co. and waives notice of assessment under Vacation Resolution No.44
and pays into the Treasury of the City of South. Bend the sum of yp,245.00
Hearing given on Vacation Resolution'No. 45, vacating the following described
property, to -wit: -
The alley twelve feet wide that runs North from Tutt street to Robertson street,
between lots Nos. 6 & 7 on the plat of Elliot Tutt's Addition to the City of S. Bend.
That portion of Robertson street lying North of the above alley and North of
lot 7 and -of the east half of lot 8 in Eliot Tutt's Addition to the City of South
Bend, Indiana.
In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed.
The Board therefore declare the above described property in all things vacated. And the

Eddy street, the same was deferred until Friday April 5th, 1907, at 10 A. M.

pavement on DeMaude avenue.
Bonds of C. H. Defrees filed and approved and contracts signed for the
Crescent avenue Brick Pavement and the Nest Jefferson St Brick pavement.
Permission given to Edward Staley to close the sidewalk at No. 31.4, 316 & 31M
S. Michigan street during the construction of the Salinger Building.
