The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. Mr. Papezynski absent.
Petition filed for Grade,.curb & Walk on Merry avenue from Grant street to
Olive street. Referred to the Engineer for sp.ecificat__ons.
Engineer reported grade.,on Lebanon street, Dale avenue, Virginia, street and
Broadway street. Same were approved..
Engineer was instructed to prepare specifications for Asphalt pavement on East
Washington street from Emerich street to Eddy street and Asphalt p averLent on S. Main
street from Jefferson street to Division street.
Resolved, that the City Attorney be and is hereby directed to prepare a new
form of Continuing CONTRACTOR BOND for $1,000.00. Said Bond to take effect January
lst, 19072 and to replace old Contractor Bonds now in use.

Hearing given on Condemnation Resolution No. 25, appropriating the_Tollowing
described property, to -wit: -
Begin on the east line of Webster street at a point 10.6 feet south of the south
Tine of Huron street, which point is south line of right of way of Indiana, Illinois
& Iowa R. R., thence north-easterly with said south line of right of way to the south
line of Huron street; thence east 53.8 feet; thence south-westerly to a.point 22.1 feet
south of the beginning; thence north to the plaee of beginning.
In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. The
Board therefore declare the above described property condemned and appropriated for
Public use.

George Beck was notified to move his houses from Franeis street within 90 days,
to make way for the proposed North Side Boulevard.
CONDEMNATION RESOLUTION NO. 26.
Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana : That the
following described property be appropriated for the use of said City:
All of lot A. lst Plat of Chapin Place, o".ed by Edward P. & Marie Pearl Chapin.
Begin at the S. E. Corner of lot 41 thence N Wly on the south line of said lot to SW
corner of same; thence North on the west line of said lot to a point of intersection of
a circle of a radius of 76 1/2 feet south of the north line and 1� 1/2 feet south of the
north line and 16 1/2 , feet west of the east. line of lot 63 in.3,"a- Plat of Shetterley's
Place; thence S Ely on the line of saic circle to place of beginning. 1st Plat of
Chapin Place. Owned by Edward P. & Marie Pearl Chapin.
All of lot 64 3Y Plat of Shetterly Place. Owned by Ryell T. & Annie P. Miller and

The purpose of such appropriation is to open a public thoroughfare from the end of

23rd day of January 1907, in the South Bend Daily Times.
This Board, at its office in the City Hall on the 5th clay of February 1907, at
7:15 P. M. will hear and r(tceive remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected
by these proceedings.
