Referred to the Engineer for Specifi- cations. Petition filed for Walk &.Curb on King street from Portage avenue to Blaine avenue, signed by E. Mendenhall et al..Referred to the Engineer for Specifications. Engineer reported grade on Benton Court . Same was approved. Hearing on Declaratory Resolution No.v7efor Grade, Curb & Walk on St. Peter street, deferred until September %th, 19062 at 10 A. M. Arc Lamp ordered for the intersection of Madison street and the 1st alley East of Michigan street. The following Bonds were released.,.,': C. H. Defreee Brick Pavement on Leland avenue. Co H. Brehmer asking that the paving of South Bend avenue be deferred for a few years. Hearing given on Vacation Resolution No. 42, vacating the following described property; A strip of land 9 1/2 feet wide from east to west lying adjacent to the east side of lot 71 0riginal Plat and extending from the North line of Jefferson street to the South line of Vistula avenue. In the above matter no remonstrators appeard and no remonstrances were filed. The Board therefore,by the following v0 te,declare the above described property in all things vacated. Nicar Naye. 52 Tuesday September 4t.i, 1 Engineer filed Assessment Roll and final estimates for Sewer Connections on Cushing street from LaSalle avenue to Michigan avenue; Sewer Connections on East Wash- ington street from Emerick street to Eddy street; Pipe Sewer on LaPorte avenue from Wash- ington street to the Alley North of Washington.street, All under Improvement Resolutions Nos. 3692 367 and 347 respectively. Resolved that notices as to the amounts of assessments be published for six consec- utive days in the South Bend Daily'Times, commencing on the 5th day of September 1906, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such assessments at its office in the City Hall on the lSth day of September_19069 at 7:15 P. M. Resolved further, that the entire work under the above contracts be accepted and a1}proved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 5th day of September 1906, in the South Bend Daily Times, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the acceptance of such work at its office in the City Hall on the l8th day of September, 1906, at 7:15, P. TM. IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 404. Resolved by the Board of Public Works.of.the City of South Bend, Indiana: That an improvement be made of the kind, size, location and terminal points as follows: Grade, Curb & Walk on Miller Court from Sample street to Osborne street. Said.improvement shall be known and designated as "THE MILLER.COURT GRADE? CURB & WALK IMPROVEMENT" and shall be constructed according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer filed herewith. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 5th day of September and on the 12th day of September 1906, in the South Bend Daily Times. This Board will give a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City -.Hall on the 25th day of Sept 1906, at 7:15 P. M. Said improve- ment shall be known and designated as "THE CEDAR STREET WALK & CURB IMPROVEMENT" and shall he constructed according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil RRngineer, filed herewith. Notice of this resolution shall be )ublished on the 5th day of September and on the T2th day of September 1906, in the South Bend Daily Times. This Board will give a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City Hall on the 25th day of September 1906, at 7:15 P. Four and Five (4 & 5) on the plat of Elliot Tutt-s Addition to the City of South Bend. 2nd.• That portion of Robertson street lying North of the above alley and • North of Lots Nos Five and Six (5 & 6) in Elliot Tutt's Addition to the City of South Bend. The Board therefore find in each and every case in said improvements that the benefits to the property and to the City of South Bend are equal to the estimated cost of said improvements and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. Said improvement shall be known and designated as The"INDIAND AVENUE CEMENT SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT" and shall be constructed' according to the plans and specifieations'prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith.
