,street from Emerick street to Hill street.. Referred to the Engineer for Specifi-

Petition filed for Cement Walk on Marion Boulevard from Navarre street to
Bartlett street,. signed by W. F. Mills et al. Referred to the Engineer for Specifi-
cations.
Petition filed for Walk &.Curb on King street from Portage avenue to Blaine

Hearing given on Vacation Resolution No. 42, vacating the following described
property;
A strip of land 9 1/2 feet wide from east to west lying adjacent to the east side
of lot 71 0riginal Plat and extending from the North line of Jefferson street to the
South line of Vistula avenue.
In the above matter no remonstrators appeard and no remonstrances were filed.
The Board therefore,by the following v0 te,declare the above described property in
all things vacated.

Engineer filed Assessment Roll and final estimates for Sewer Connections
on Cushing street from LaSalle avenue to Michigan avenue; Sewer Connections on East Wash-
ington street from Emerick street to Eddy street; Pipe Sewer on LaPorte avenue from Wash-
ington street to the Alley North of Washington.street, All under Improvement Resolutions
Nos. 3692 367 and 347 respectively.
Resolved that notices as to the amounts of assessments be published for six consec-
utive days in the South Bend Daily'Times, commencing on the 5th day of September 1906,
stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such assessments at its
office in the City Hall on the lSth day of September_19069 at 7:15 P. M.
Resolved further, that the entire work under the above contracts be accepted and
a1}proved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolution shall be
published on the 5th day of September 1906, in the South Bend Daily Times, stating that
this Board will give a hearing on the acceptance of such work at its office in the City
Hall on the l8th day of September, 1906, at 7:15, P. TM.
IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 404.
Resolved by the Board of Public Works.of.the City of South Bend, Indiana: That an
improvement be made of the kind, size, location and terminal points as follows: Grade,
Curb & Walk on Miller Court from Sample street to Osborne street. Said.improvement shall
be known and designated as "THE MILLER.COURT GRADE? CURB & WALK IMPROVEMENT" and shall be
constructed according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer
filed herewith. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 5th day of September
and on the 12th day of September 1906, in the South Bend Daily Times. This Board will
give a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City -.Hall on the 25th day of Sept
1906, at 7:15 P. M.
A Bond or Bonds to be issued to the Contractor in payment for such work where the
property owner signs waiver required, as -according to law. Which said bonds shall bear

improvement be made of the kind, size, location and terminal points as follows: Cement
curbing and sidewalks on Cedar street from Emerick street to Hill street. Said improve-
ment shall be known and designated as "THE CEDAR STREET WALK & CURB IMPROVEMENT" and shall
he constructed according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil
RRngineer, filed herewith. Notice of this resolution shall be )ublished on the 5th day of
September and on the T2th day of September 1906, in the South Bend Daily Times. This
Board will give a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City Hall on the 25th
day of September 1906, at 7:15 P. M-

Said improvement shall be known and designated as "THE WEST JEFFERSON STREET ASPHALT
PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENT" and shall be constructed according to the plans and specifi-
cations prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of this resoltion
shall be published on the 5th day of September and on the 12th day of September 1906,
in the South Bend Daily Times. This Board will give a hearing on this resolution at
its office in the City Hall.on the 25th.day of September 1906, at 7:15 P. M.
A Bond or Bonds to be issued to the Contractor in payment for such work where

South Bend are egual.to the estimated cost of said improvements and the same are hereby
in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.

Resolved by the Board df Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: -That
it is desirable to vacate the following:
lst., The alley twelve (12) Feet in width, that runs North from Tutt street to
Robertson street, between Lots Nos. Four and Five (4 & 5) on the plat of Elliot
Tutt-s Addition to the City of South Bend.
2nd.• That portion of Robertson street lying North of the above alley and •
North of Lots Nos Five and Six (5 & 6) in Elliot Tutt's Addition to the City of
South Bend.
The following property may be, injuriously or beneficially effected by such vacation:
Lots Four, Five and Six (41 5 & 6) in Elliot Tutt's Addition to the City of
South Bend. And thelarnd lying North and East of that part of Robertson street
proposed to be vacated. '

Hearing given on Declaratory Resolution for Grade, Curb & Walk on St. Peter
street from the north line of Corby street to the north line of Napoleon street, and Pipe
Sever on St. Louis street and Miner street from -South Bend avenue to St. Peter street,
under Improvement Resolutions Nos. 379 & 395 respectively.
In the above matter no further remonstrators appeared and no further remonstrances
were filed. All other remonstrances were over -ruled. The Board therefore find in each
and every case in said improvements that the benefits to the property and to the City of
South Bend are equal to the estimated cost of said improvements and the same are hereby
in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.
Resolved by the Board that bids for the St. Peter street Grade, Curb & Walk will be
received in the Spring of 1907.

shall be known and designated as The"INDIAND AVENUE CEMENT SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT" and
shall be constructed' according to the plans and specifieations'prepared by the City
Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the
loth day of September and on the 17th day of September 1906, in the South Bend Daily
Times. This Board will give a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City
Hall on the 28th day of September 1906, at 10 A.,M.

CONNECTION IMPROVEMENT" and shall be constructed according to the plans and specifications
prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of proposils"for bids for
the execution of the above work shall be published on the 12th day of September and on
the 19th day of September 1906, in the South Bend Daily Times. This Board will

September, 1906, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such
assessments at its office in the City Hall on the 2nd day of October, 1906, at-7:15 PM
Resolved further, that the entire work under the above contracts be accepted
and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this revolution shall
be published on the 22nd, day of September 1906, in the South Bend Daily Times,
stating that this Board will give a hearing on the acceptance of such work at its
office in the City Hall on the 2nd day of October , 19062 at 7:15 P. M.
Hearing given on Vacation Resolution No. 43, vacating the following described
property, to —wit:
The Alley twelve (12) feet in width, that runs North Rrom Tutt street to
Robertson street, between lots Nos. Four and five (4 & 5) on the plat of Elliott Tutt
addition to the city of South Bend.
That portion of Robertson street lying North of the above alley and North of
Lots Five and Six (5 & 6 ) in Elliott Tutt's addition to the City of South Bend.
In the above'matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed.
The Board therefore declare the above described property in all things vacated.

Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That
an improvement be made of the kind, size, -location and terminal points as follows:
Three water connections on North Taylor street from Michigan avenue to Marion street,
according to a report adopted by the Common Council on the 27th day of August 1906.
Said improvement shall be known and designated as "THE NORTH TAYLOR STREET WATER
CONNECTION IMPROVEMENT" and shall be constructed according to the plans and specifi-
cations prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of proposals
for bids for the execution of the above work shall be published on the 25th day of
September anD on the 2M day of October 1906, in the South Bend Daily Times. This
