Opening of bids for the heating of No. 3 and No. S Hose Houses deferred until Saturday December 2nd, lg05. Enginer filed Assessment Rolls and final estimates for Brick Pavement on Ashland avenue from Leland avenue to Rex street, Brick Pavement on Rex street from Leland avenue to Portage avenue, Brick Sewer on S. Main street from Broadway street to Indiana avenue, Street Sprinkling on Michigan street from Navarre street to Broadway street. Main street from Navarre street to South street, Lafayette street from Navarre street to Monroe street, Taylor street from Washington stre-et to 1/2 block North of Jefferson street, LaSalle avenue from Michigan street to Michigan avenue, Colfax avenue from Michigan street to Lafayette street, Washington street from Vistula avenue to Scott street, Jefferson street from St. Joseph street to Taylor street, Wayne street from St. Joseph street to Main street. All under Improvement Resolutions Nos. 295, 293, 233 and 239 respectively. Resolved, that notices as to the amounts of assessments be published for six consecutive days in the South Bend Daily Times and the South Bend Daily Tribune, commencing on the 4th day of December, 1905, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such assessments at its office in the City Hall on the 19th day of December 1905, at 7:15 P. M. Resolved further, that the entire work under the above contracts be accepted_ and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 4th dayo' December, 1905, in the South Bend Daily Times and the South Bend Daily Tribune, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the acceptance of such work at its office in the City Hall on the 19th day of December, 1905, at 7:15 P. All members present. Hearing given on Assessment Roll and final estimate for Pipe Sewer on Allen street, Blaine and Vassar avenue from Portage avenue to Quincy street, Cement Curb & Walk on Miner street from Eddy street to Arthur street, Grade, Curb � Walk- on William street from Washington street to Colfax avenue, Brick Pavement on Alley west of No. 2 Hose House from Sample street to Tutt street, Brick Pavement on Tutt street from Lafayette street to Chicago & South Bend R. R., Water Connections on Rex street from Leland avenue to Portage avenue, Sewer and Water connections on Ashlari avenue from Leland avenue to Rex street, all under Improvement Resolutions Nos. 276 2552 2972 2562 295, 293 & 295 respectively. , No remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed.. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said rolls filed November 24th, 19052 is benefitted in the amount of'assessments as shown on said rolls and the Roam find that the assessment roll filed November 23th, 1905, and the final estimate allo- wed November 24th 1905; should be and the same is hereby in all things ratified confirmed and approved. , President. Proposition of Philip ,Strickler filed, stating that he would sell 3 1/2 feet of his property along Cedar street the length of his lot, for $200.00 President. 246 Tuesday -December 12th, 1905. The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. All members present. Remonstrance filed against a pipe sewer on N. Walnut street Prot Linden avenue to LaPorte avenue. Petition filed for electric light at the cor of Linden avenue and 6th street. Bond of W. H. Burke & Co., file-d and approved for the plumbing on No. 3 and No. S !lose Houses. Contracts were signedfor the same. Remonstrance filed by Lillian Kreighbaum against the amount of her assessment on the Ashland avenue Brick Pavement. The following bids were received for the heating of No. 3 and No. 8 Hose Houses. Without carpenter and mason work. G. E. Angola Furnace Co Two (2) No. 15 for No. 3 and No. S` Hose Houses for $500.00 Studebaker & Chard, No 28 Round Oak for No. 9 Hose House $230.00 A Warranty Deed, signed by Lucius G. Tong and Samuel S. Perley,(Trustees of Alexis Coquillard Estateo Maude M. Coquillard, Alexis Coquillard Jr., and Joseph Coquillard; (Sole heirs of Alexis Coquillard, deceased) was presented to the Clty of South Bend conveying the following described real estate; Lots A. B. C. D. E. F. G. & H. in the Second Plat of Park Place in the City of South Bend, Indiana. Said property to be used as a Public Park and. to be known as "COQUILLARD PARK". The above was accepted by the Board, subject acceptance by the Common Council. A vote of.thanks was given the Coquillard Estate for the City's appreciation of their generous gift. Petition filed by George Cutter asking that Park avenue be opened through to connect with Leland avenue. Petition filed foran electric light at the corner of Linden avenue and Olive street and one at the corner of Linden avenue and Sadie street. M. Remonstrance filed by Margaret M. Stull et al against the amounts of their Assessments on the S. Main street Brick Sewer. Hearing given on Assessment Rolls and Final estimates for the following improvement; - Brick Sewer on S. Main street from Broadway to Indiana avenue, under Improvement Resolution No. 233. No remonstrators appeared, the above remonstrance was filed. The Board find that the property assessed in said rolls filed December 1st, 1905, is benefitted in the amount of assessments as shown on said rolls and the Board find that the assessment roll filed :i) December 1st, 1905, and the final estimate allowed December 1st, 1905, should be and the same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. Engineer instructed to rebate Lillian Kreigiibaum $25.00 on her assessment and to rebate Samuel & Harriett Beck $25.00 on their assessment. No remonstrantors appeared and no remonstrances were Filed. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said rolls filed December lst, 1905, is benefitted in the amount of assessments as shown on said rolls and the find that the asseremnt rolls,as amended, filed December lst 1905, and the final estimate allowed December lst 1905, should be and the same is hereby'in all things ratified, confirmed an -ell approved. Contract awarded to Hoban & Roach for the construction of the Kenwood avenue and Meade street Trunk Sewer, Monolithic Concrete to be used. Contract price $24,045. Engineer filed Assessment Roll and Final estimate for Pipe Sewer on High street and Wenger street from L. S. & M. S. R. R. to Carroll street, under Improvement Resolution No. 284.
