FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The City of South Bend will adopt one of its largest budgets in history at roughly $381 million dollars.
Residents living West of the St. Joe River and in historically underserved communities have repeatedly
asked the Common Council and James Mueller’s administration to share how much of the budget is
going to their neighborhoods to no avail.
Councilman Henry Davis, Jr.’s District 2- in partnership with the Kennedy Park Neighborhood
Association, LaSalle Area Neighborhood Alliance, Black Lives Matter South Bend, Monroe Park
Neighborhood Association and the Lincoln-Bendix Neighborhood Association will hold an event
surrounding this topic. The public is invited to join us on Wednesday, October 13th, at 6 p.m. at the Civil
Rights Heritage Center.
Councilman, Henry Davis Jr.
2nd District, City of South Bend, Indiana
