ACCESSORY DWELLING UNIT APPLICATION
STANDARDS
1. An Ancillary Dwelling Unity (ADU) must be subordinate and incidental to a primary
building on the same lot.
2. An ADU unit may be detached or attached to the primary building. Only one ADU is
allowed per lot.
3. Finished floor area of an ADU shall be no more than 75% of the finished floor area of the
primary dwelling or 800 square feet, whichever is less.
4. An ADU shall not be taller in feet than the primary building on the lot and meet all height
requirements.
5. In a S1, U1, or U2 district, the owner(s) of the lot upon which the ADU is located shall
occupy at least one of the dwelling units.
