CATHERINE FANELLO CONTROLLER December 5, 2006 Mr. Timothy Rouse, President South Bend Common Council 4th Floor, County-City Building South Bend, IN 46601 Re: 2007 Budget Appropriation Ordinance Dear President Rouse: Please find attached the ordinance appropriating additional dollars into the Parks Fund for 2007 to operate the Greenhouse. In addition, the 2007 budget for all property tax funds has been listed for a second ratification by the Council. Upon routine review of budget forms for the ensuing year, the DLGF recently noticed that our second advertisement was later than the September 11, 2006 public hearing. The advertisement should have been before the public hearing. Mr. Skarbek reviewed the advertisement upon discussion with the DLGF and noticed he had placed the second advertisement in error. -The DLGF requests the council ratify a 2007 appropriation for property tax funds only. There are no other steps that need to be taken according to the DLGF. If you have any further questions, please call. Sincerely, . C°a eri e Fanello, C ..
