The contract price will increase by $51,000 and the contract time will be extended to 8/16/2021 to complete the work. Howard Park Substantial Completion date will need to be extended an additional 377 days to August 16, 2021. The time extension is essential for the incorporation of solar panels into the project. VPA had requested solar panels be included and they where in contact with lnovateous Solar to install a Turn Key Solar panel System. The System has to be designed and built to be set on the roof of Howard Park Community Building. Larson Daniels will do this work and will keep the roof warranty intact so that any roof penetrations will be handled by the original installer and the electric work will be handled by the original electricians that wired the Community Center. It is requested the Board of Public Works approve change order #16 to the Howard Park Redevelopment project (PN 117-047B) for the increase of $51,000 bringing the modified contract amount to $18,967,837.73 and extending the completion date to 8/16/2021.
