This Ordinance was subsequently amended in 2008 by Ordinance No. 9829-08 to increase City employee salaries from 2% to 3%. It is now determined that Ordinance 9790-07 be amended once more to add the position of Residential Specialist for the Department of Community and Economic Development, reduce one Project Analyst VI position, eliminate one CED Specialist VI position, and to provide for a Communications Specialist I to be used for the Communications Department entry level hires. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, as follows: Section I. The following positions are hereby established: Position 2007 2008 Residential Marketing Specialist N/A 55,000 Communications Specialist I N/A 28,000 Section II. Reduce the total number of CED Specialist VI positions with a salary of $46,898 by one. Section III. Reduce one position of Project Analyst VIfrom afull-time position with a salary of $39,655 to apart time position at a rate of $22.00 per hour. Section IV. All other Sections and paragraphs of Ordinance Numbers 9790-07 and 9829-08 are hereby reaffirmed and shall remain in full force and effect as provided for in Ordinance Numbers 9790-07 and 9829- 08. Section V. The position of CED Specialist VI is not totally eliminated, but rather, reduced by one; and 2. One Project Analyst VI position (but not all) is reduced from afull-time to a part-time position. This substitute clarifies the original version of the amending Bit142-08 as follows: 1. The position of CED Specialist VI is not totally eliminated, but rather, reduced by one; and 2. One Project Analyst VI position (but not all) is reduced from afull-time to a part-time position. Thank you for your consideration of this Ordinance.
