The April 28, 2003 Zoning and Annexation Committee was called to order by its Chairperson,
Council Member Ervin Kuspa at 4:33 p.m. in the Council Informal Meeting Room.
Persons in attendance included Council Members Aranowski, Pfeifer, Coleman, Kuspa, White,
Varner, and King; Mayor Steve Luecke, City Controller Rick 011ett, City Engineer Carl Littrell,
Building Commissioner Don Fozo, Police Chief Thomas Fautz, Fire Chief Luther Taylor,
Assistant Fire Chief Rick Switalski, Terry Bland of the *olttj likt1r 'Crib Mr and Council
Attorney Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand.
Council Member Kuspa noted that the Zoning and Annexation Committee members present include
Council Members Varner, Coleman and himself.
Council Member Kuspa then called for a presentation on Bill No. 87-99 which is a request to
designate the real property located at 1040 West Washington as an historic landmark.
Council Member Pfeifer stated that additional time is needed and requested that the Bill be
continued indefinitely. The Council Attorney noted that if the Bill would be continued indefinitely
that when it is ready to go forward that it would be placed on the Council's agenda under
"Unfinished Business"and then formally set for public hearing.
Following discussion, Council Member Coleman made a motion, seconded by Dr. Varner that Bill
No. 87-99 be recommended to be continued indefinitely at the request of the petition. The motion
passed.
There being no further business to come before the Committee, Council Member Kuspa adjourned
the meeting at 4:35 p.m.
