Persons in attendance included Council Members Aranowski, Pfeifer, Kelly, King, Varner, Kuspa, White, Coleman and Kirsits; Community & Economic Development Department Director Jon Hunt, City Controller Rick 011ett, Ann Kolata, Water Superintendent John Stancati, Michael Beitzinger, Cathy Bruecker, Terry Bland of the ioutb its 1/trtbun , and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, Council Attorney. Council Member King called for a presentation on Bill No. 100-02 which would redeem the 1992 South Bend Redevelopment Authority taxable lease/rental revenue bonds (Palais Royale); to appropriate $34,314.63 from Fund #328 for bond redemption purposes; to transfer$260,686.37 from Fund#328 to Fund#420(South Bend Central Development Area TIF);and to close Fund# 328 due to fulfillment of the fund's purpose. City Controller Rick 011ett made the presentation. He stated that the Administration wishes to retire the bonds on the Palais Royale building issued in 1992 on December 27, 2002. The appropriation request would be to redeem the bonds and Fund # 328 addressing the Palais Royale repayment could then be closed. Following discussion, Council Member Aranowski made a motion, seconded by Dr. Varner that Bill No. 100-02 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed.
