The January 28,2002 Executive Session of the South Bend Common Council and Board of Public
Safety was called to order by Council President Roland Kelly at 4:52 p.m. in the Council Informal
Meeting Room.
Persons in attendance included Council Members: Coleman, Kelly, Aranowski, King, Varner,
Kirsits,White and Pfeifer;City Attorney Charles Leone,Assistant City Attorney Aladean DeRose,
and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, Council Attorney.
Council President Kelly noted that the Executive Session of the Council and the Board was called
pursuant to the Indiana state law which permits Executive Sessions for the purpose of receiving a
litigation update from the City Attorney
Council Member Roland Kelly, as President of the South Bend Common Council hereby certifies
that nothing was discussed in this Executive Sessions that was not properly posted in the official
"Notice of Executive Session"dated January 24,2002(copy attached).
Council President Kelly adjourned the meeting at 5:30 p.m.
