The May 13, 2002 meeting of the Personnel and Finance Committee was called to order by its
Chairperson, Council Member James Aranowski at 4:55 p.m. in the Council Informal Meeting
Room.
Persons in attendance included Council Members Coleman, Varner, White, Kirsits, Aranowski,
King, and Pfeifer; Public Works Director Gary Gilot, Terry Bland of the gout") Woritti
rttltttt, and Kathy Cekanski Farrand, Council Attorney.
Council Member Aranowski noted that the only item on the agenda was to review Bill No. 02-43
which would approve the issuance of scrap metal/junk dealers/transfer station licenses for calendar
year 2002.
Mr. Gilot made the presentation. He noted that the two (2) premises addressed in the resolution
are the last to come before the Council for approval. Mr. Gilot assured the Committee that the
Administration would"front load"the review process next year for such operations so that they are
acted upon in a timely manner.
Following discussion, Council Member King made a motion, seconded by Council Member
Varner that Bill No. 02-43 be recommended favorably to Council.
There being no further business to come before the Committee, Council Member Aranowski
adjourned the meeting at 4:57 p.m.
