The August 26 2002 meeting of the Personnel and Finance Committee was called to order by its

Persons in attendance included Council Members Varner King Coleman Pfeifer Kirsits White,
and Kelly George Adler Community Development Director Jon Hunt Pam Meyer Larry

Council Member Varner called for a,presentation on Bill No 60-02 which would appropriate
$25 000 within the COTT find (Fund #404) for the purpose of providing additional funding for
the commercial corridor program within the City South Bend,
Pam Meyer of the Comnjpity Development Department made the presentation The money

Bullseye Liquor Store which will enable the construction of a TCT J office The governing law
requires that such funds he reappropriated for corridor projects,
Following discussion Council Member King made a motion seconded by Council Member White

Dr Varner inajuired what the funds would be use for and was advised that additional police
patrols to address the public safety concerns in the area and in the area of where the Always Open
is located
Under miscellaneous business Dr Varner noted that as of this date hp has not received the
information he requested about the lease payments made on the Coveleski Stadium He asked the
City 9ttorney Mr Charles i.eone for that information as soon as possible noting that this reciyest,
was made at a Council Committee meeting held two(2) weeks ago,
There being no further business to come before the Committee Dr Varner adjourned the meeting
at4•1Spm
