HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-25-02 Zoning & Annexation Qtontittittize Ztport zoning alb artuvxatiou Committee The February 25, 2002 meeting of the Zoning and Annexation Committee was called to order by its Chairperson, Council Member James Aranowski at 3:34 p.m. in the Council Informal Meeting Room. Persons in attendance included Council Members Aranowski, Pfeifer, Kelly, Varner, Ujdak, White, Coleman and Kirsits; Community & Economic Development Department Director Jon Hunt, Citizen Member Isabel Gonzalez, Larry Magliozzi, Terry Bland of the iti0lth en ribune,and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, Council Attorney. Council Member White noted that the first item on the agenda was to review Bill No. 02-10 which is a resolution to adopt a written fiscal plan and establish a policy for services to the Richard Murphy Annexation Area. She suggested that it be heard in conjunction with Bill No. 5-02 which is the annexation ordinance for the same property. Larry Magliozzi of the Department of Community and Economic Development made the presentation. He noted that this is a companion Bill to Bill No. 05-02. It addresses 1.62 acres on the southwest corner at the intersection of Olive Road and Cleveland Road in Germann Township. With regard to Bill No. 5-02 it was noted that it is a voluntary annexation. Following discussion, Council Member Coleman made a motion, seconded by Dr. Varner that Bill Nos. 02-10 and 5-02 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed. There being no further business to come before the Committee, Council Member White adjourned the meeting at 4:20 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Council Member Karen L.
