AMENDMENT TO OWNER-ENGINEER AGREEMENT Amendment No. 1 1. Background Data: a. Effective Date of Owner-Engineer Agreement: 2/25/2020 b. Owner: Board of Public Works, City of South Bend, Indiana c. Engineer: VS Engineering, Inc. d. Project: Dubail Ave. Streetscape 2. Description of Modifications: a. The Scope of Services currently authorized to be performed by Engineer in accordance with the Agreement and previous amendments, if any, is modified as follows: 1) Engineer shall perform additional schematic/conceptual design services to include additional conceptual design options for consideration. Additional concepts include a total of five options instead of the originally scoped three options. 2) Engineer shall, at the Owner’s request, re-design the 60% plan documents and 90% plan documents per scope changes set forth from the Owner. Scope changes include deviating from the full reconstruction of Dubail Avenue to designing only the roadway intersections of Dubail Ave. with St. Joseph Street, Carroll Street, Columbia Street, Fellows Street, Rush Street, Marietta Street, High Street, and Dale Avenue. Design elements at these intersections include re-working the following design elements: a) Intersection geometrics b) Construction detail sheets c) Sidewalk design d) ADA curb ramps design and detailing e) Pavement markings f) Signage g) Storm water drainage design and computations h) Erosion control plans i) Maintenance of traffic plans j) Quantity take off k) Construction cost estimate Each side of each intersection shall tie back into the existing Dubail Avenue roadway and sidewalks.
