At the Monday, July 12th, South Bend Common Council Meeting, At Large Councilwoman Lori
K. Hamann brought forth a Special Proclamation recognizing Pride Month and the exceptional
contributions the LBGTQ Community brings to South Bend. The proclamation will be presented
publicly at the Pride in the Park Event at the John Hunt Memorial Plaza on July 18th.
Councilwoman Hamann stated, “I feel very honored to present this special proclamation
acknowledging Pride Month and the significant contributions the LBGTQ+ community makes in
South Bend. The national month of recognition may be June, but our city is continuing to
celebrate throughout the summer with the Pride in the Park event on July 18th!”
