AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND
INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS AND DECREASING
APPROPRIATIONS WITHIN THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS WITHIN
THE VARIOUS FUNDS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA,
FOR THE YEAR 2006
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT
Unforeseen conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing budgets which
necessitates the increase and reduction of appropriations within the various departments of the
General Fund and other funds of the City of South Bend.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South
Bend, Indiana, as follows:

Re: 2006 Transfer & Appropriation Ordinance
Dear President Rouse:
Attached are substitute ordinances relative to the 2006 transfer of funds for the City of South
Bend. Two funds have been updated to accurately reflect the necessary transfers/appropriations to
cover expenditures for the year in these funds. The two funds that have been updated are the General
Fund (Engineering & Traffic/Street) and Fire Pension. All updates have been balanced within fund.
