GAMMON Approved and signed by me 077 '9 877 fir Mayor ORDINANCE NO. __Iw'g-g' 7 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $40, 000 FROM THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND TO PROJECT R&S 8701 CONSTRUCTION OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT THE INTERSECTION OF BENDIX DRIVE AND SUGAR MAPLE LANE. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: In order to meet existing and proposed traffic demands and to provide for safe and efficient movement of vehicles , certain improvements are necessary at the intersection of Bendix Drive and Sugar Maple Lane within the City of South Bend. Funds are now needed to pay for the cost of the construction portion of this project. These funds are available from the Local Road and Street Fund. NOV, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. Section I . The following sum of money is hereby ordered set apart from the local Road and Street Fund for the project in the amount set forth below: PROJECT NO. A traffic study has indicated the warrants are met for the signal installation. The Local Road and Street Fund balance after this appropriation is $1 ,075 , 000 .
