AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $275 ,000 FROM
THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND TO PROJECT
R&S 8703 PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENT WITHIN THE
LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to meet existing and proposed traffic demands and
to provide for safe and efficient movement of vehicles , certain
improvements are necessary on streets within the City of South
Bend.
Funds are now needed to pay for the cost of labor, materials
and equipment for these improvements . These funds are available
from the Local Road and Street Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
Section I . The following sum of money is hereby ordered set
apart from the local Road and Street Fund for the project in the
amount set forth below:

Total Project $275 , 000 . 00
Section II : This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and
approval by the Mayor.

Dear Councilmen:
Project No. 8703 is for the purchase of Labor, Materials and
Equipment for various projects in South Bend. The $275 , 000
appropriation is to be used for the following projects :
1 . Various Concrete Repairs $200 , 000
2 . Crack Sealing 50 , 000
3 . Paving Juniper/Eddy 10 , 000
4 . Lafayette Street Shoulders 10 , 000
5 . Bendix Drive Repairs 5 , 000
The Local Road and Street Fund balance after this
appropriation is $275 , 000 .
