ORDINANCE NO. '7 -7S-6-g7
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING AN ADDITIONAL
$62 ,500 FROM THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND
TO PROJECT R&S 8706 EDISON RD. WIDENING FROM
CRESTWOOD TO HICKORY RD.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to meet existing and proposed traffic demands and
to provide for safe and efficient movement of vehicles , certain
improvements are necessary for some streets within the City of
South Bend.
Additional funds are now needed to pay the City' s share of
construction costs for these improvements . These funds are
available from the Local Road and Street Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
Section I . The following additional sum of money is hereby
ordered set apart from the local Road and Street Fund for the
project in the amount set forth below:

Section II : This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and

Dear Councilmen:
Project R&S 8706 is the widening of Edison Rd. from Crestwood
to Hickory Rd. The amount of $62 ,500 represents 25% of the total
cost and is the City' s share. The remaining funds are being
provided by the federal government .
