AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING AN ADDITIONAL
$30 ,000 . 00 FROM THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET
FUND TO PROJECT R&S 8704 , CONSTRUCTION OF
VIRIDIAN DRIVE.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to meet existing and proposed traffic demands and
to provide for safe and efficient movement of vehicles , certain
improvements are necessary for some streets within the City of
South Bend.
Additional funds are now needed to pay for the cost of these
improvements . These funds are available from the Local Road and
Street Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
Section I . The following additional sum of money is hereby
ordered set apart from the local Road and Street Fund for the
project in the amount set forth below:
PROJECT NO. DESCRIPTION AMOUNT
8704 Viridian Dr. Construction $ 30 ,000 .00
Section II : This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and
approval by the Mayor and the State Board of Tax Commissioners .

Re: Viridian Drive
Dear Councilmen:
Project No . 8704 is for the construction of Viridian Drive in
South Bend. This money is a match for moneys received from the
Indiana Department of Commerce and the Industrial Foundation.
Viridian Drive is located in the Airport Industrial Park
area. Several new businesses have already located on the land
served by this street .
I will be glad to answer any questions you may have.
