AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $ 46,603 .58 FROM
THE CUMULATIVE SEWER BUILDING AND SINKING
FUND TO PROJECT CS 816 BOWMAN CREEK WITHIN THE
CUMULATIVE SEWER BUILDING AND SINKING FUND
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In the best interest of public health and safety it is
necessary for replacement of St. Joseph & Fox Street Bridge with twin
culverts pipes over Bowman Creek. Funds are now needed for the cost
of construction for these improvements. These funds are available
from the Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
Section I: The following sum of money is hereby appropriated
and ordered set apart from the Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking
Fund for the project in the amount set forth below:

Section II . That this resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption by the Common Council and
approval by the Mayor.

Dear Councilmen:
As you are aware , the City was required to make emergency
repairs at Bowman Creek at St . Joseph and Fox Streets . The Board
of Public Works used emergency powers to facilitate those
improvements . This ordinance reflects the costs of those
emergency repairs .
