Dear Members of the Common Council:
The South Bend Board of Park Commissioners received a check from the
St. Joseph Bank and Trust Company in the amount of $104,175.11 which
represents funds from the will of the late Susan B. Nickell.
The Trustee of the will stated that funds from the will should be
spent for the construction of a petting area at Potawatomi Park Zoo.
The will also states that the area or project be named "Baker Park"
in the memory of Susan B. Nickell 's father.
The $4, 752.63 difference is the interest earned on the funds since
being received by the Park Department.
Your approval of this ordinance will be appreciated.
Sincerely,
DEPAR' 'ENT OF P LIC PARKS
