GAMMON ,,, ,---- , Attest• �! • • ORDINANCE NO. 7776-k7 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $13 ,700. 00 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT FUND COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE GENERAL REVENUE SHARING TRUST FUND FOR THE 1987 SUMMER CLEAN-UP PROGRAM. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: Funds are needed for equipment and supplies for the 1987 Summer Clean-up Program. Personnel costs will be paid through the JTP Program. Monies are available within the General Revenue Sharing Fund. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That the sum of $13 ,700. 00 is hereby appropriated for the year 1987 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund commonly referred to as the General Revenue Sharing Trust Fund. This appropriation is to be administered by the Department of Code Enforcement and will be distributed as set forth below: PROGRAM FA 260 1987 SUMMER CLEAN-UP PROGRAM ACCOUNT DESCRIPTION AMOUNT 222.0 Gasoline $ 1,600. 00 374.0 Equipment Rental 4,900.00 219.0 Operating Supplies 1,400.00 363.0 Equipment Repair 4,500.00 429. 0 Equipment Purchases 1,300. 00 Total $13,700.00 SECTION II. South Bend, IN 46601 Dear President Serge: The enclosed ordinance appropriating $13 ,700.00 from the General Revenue Sharing Trust Fund is being filed for first reading at the May 26, 1987 Council meeting. Approval of the ordinance will allow the Department of Code Enforcement to again run its summer clean-up program. The costs to be paid for out of the ordinance are gasoline, supplies, and other small equipment purchases needed for the program. As you will recall, the labor costs are supplied through the summer youth employment program.
