Bids were opened and referred to the Engineer for tabulation for the following
.improvements, -
Pipe Sewer on Scott street & Lindsey street, Pipe Sewer on Tutt street
Pipe Sewer on Harrison avenue, Grade, Curb & Walk and Macadam on Foote street, -Grade,
Curb & Walk on Eddy street, Marion Boulevard & Navarre street, Koscuiszko street and
Sidewalks on Johnson street.
Deed received from Wm. G. & Sallie B. McMannis for a triangular strip of ground
at the Corner of Rex street and Portage avenue.
Clerk was instructed to have the same recorded.

Woodward avenue occasioned by your work in constructing a sewer on said street.
You are therefore notified that unless you remove this dirt under the direction of
the City Engineer within 10 days, that said work_ will be done by the Street Commissioner
at your expensb.

Permission granted to the Epworth League of the First Methodist -Episcopal Church to
hold open air meetings in Howard Park.
Petition filed for Grade, Curb & Walk on Lincoln street from Washington street to
tongley avenue. Referred to the Engineer for specifications.
Petition filed to condemn a 10 ft private alley and the necessary property to make
a public alley North and South from Baker to Orange street between College and Jaekson St.

SPECIAL SESSION TUESDAY EVENING JULY llTh, 19052 At 7:15 P. M.
The Board met in Special Session at 7:15 P. M. Mr. Papezynski absent. C
Hearing given on Assessment Rolls and Final Estimates for the following improvements;
Brick Pavement on Laurel street from Washington street to Colfax avenue, Studebaker street
from Washington street to Linden avenue, Pipe Sewer on Fellows street from Monroe street
North 353 feet, Fellows street from Monroe street to L.S.& M.S. R.R. Under Improvement
Resolutions Nos. 230, 2322 249 & 237 respectively; Also Sewer connections on Arnold
street from Sample street to Division street.
No remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. The Board therefore find
that the property assessed in said rolls filed June 20th, 1905, is benefitted in the
amount of assessments as shown on said rolls and the Board find that the assessr_ient roll
filed June 20th, 1905, and the final estimate allowed June 20th, 1905, should be and
the same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.

Engineer filed Assessment Rolls and Final Estimates for the -following improvements,-
Brick Pavement on Sample street from River Bridge to Vistula avenue, Brick Pavement on
E. Monroe street from Michigan street to Vistula avenue, under Improvement Resolutions
Nos. 246 & 227 respectively; Also Sewer connections on Vistula avenue from Leer street
to Kline street.
Resolved, that notices as to the amounts of assessments be published for six
consecutive days in the South Bend Daily Times and the South Bend Daily Tribune, com-
mencing on the 17th day of July, 1905, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the
amount of such assessments at its office in the City Hall on the 1st day of August,
1905, at 1:15 P. 4.
Resolved further, that the :entire work under the above contracts be accepted and
approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolution shall be
published on the 17th day of July, 1905, in the South Bend Daily Times and the South
Bend Daily Tribune, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the acceptance of
such work at its office in the City Hall on the lst day of August, 1905, at 7:15 p. m.

Terre Haute & Logansport R. R. Co were notified to plank their crossings
from Curb to Curb at the Indiana avenue and also at the Broadway street crossings.

TUESDAY EVENING JULY 19TH, 1905, SPECIAL SESSION AT 7:15 P. M.
The Board met in Special Session at 7:15 P. M. Mr. Papczynski absent.
Hearing given on Assessment Rolls and final estimates for the following
improvements, to -wit; -
Cement Sidewalks on Lawrence street from Napoleon street to St.
7incEnt street, Grade, Curb & Walk on Carlisle street from Washington street to Linden
avenue, Pipe Sewer on Diamond avenue from Van Buren street north to lot 25. All under
Improvement Resolutions Nos. 226, 212 & 250 respectively; Also water connections on
E. LaSalle avenue from St. Jos river to Eddy street, Water Connections on Elm street from
Washington street to City Cemetery.
No remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. The Board therefore find
that the property assessed in said rolls filed JuRLe 30th, 1905, is benefitted in the
amount of assessments as shown on said rolls and the Board find that the assessment rolls
filed June 30th, 1905, and the final estimate allowed June 30th, 1905, should beand
the same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.

The South Bend Electric Company were notified to remove a portion of their
building on Artesian avenue at the foot of Washington street. said building to be
removed with in ten (10) days.
Petition filed for Electric Light at the Corner of Hill & Kolorama Street.
Remonstrance filed against Pipe Sewer on Linden avenue from Adams street to
Johnson street.
The South Bend Electric Co were notified to place a lamp at the corner of
Harper Court & River avenue.
Plat of Moon's lst addition filed and approved.
Bond of John Baer filed and approved for the Marion Boulevard & nararre street

from Michigan avenue to Colfax aveneu, deferred until Saturday July 22nd, 1905 at 10 a.m.
Henri DeVos & Co were notified to remove the surplus dirt on N. Lafayette street
from Navarre street, north, where the have recently put in a pipe sewer. Said dirt
to be removed within 10 days.

You are hereby notified that I have.purchased and taken an assignment of all
claims and demands held against the City of South Bend by Peter Suzio for and arising
out of the construction of the Fassnacht avenue sewer. Included therein is a claim for
extra work, labor and material made necessary by the City of South Bend during the
progress of said work.
And you are further notified not to pay the said Peter Suzio or to his assigns br
to any person or persons in his behalf or upon his order any sum or sums whatever which
may be due to him on the said contract or for extras arising out of the same.

John Caulfield filed and amended route to the proposed franchise of the
Indianapolis, Logansport & South Bend Traction Company, reading as follows, -
North on Main street from Calvert street to the center of Washington street.
Application filed by the Chicago, Indiana Air Line Ry Co for change of route from
intersection of Orange street and Olive street to read West on Orange street to Wash-
ington street, thence N. Wely across intervening streets and alleys on private right of
way to the City Limits and -uggesting the cancellation of the part of their franchise
providing for right of way on alive st & linden avenue.
