The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. All members present.
Petition file? for Grade, Curb & Talk on Donald street from Michigan street
to Main street. Referred to the Engineer for Specifications.
Hearing given on Declaratory Resolution No. 239 for Street Sprinkling Contract
for the gear of 1905.
No remonstrators Appeared and no remonstrances were filed. The. Board therefore
find in each and every case in said improvements that the benefits to the property
and to the City of South Bend are equal to the estimated cost of said improvement
and same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.
The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. All members present.

E. Monroe street Brick pavement and Robertson street brick pavement. Contracts were

VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 37.
Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That it is
desirable to vacate the following: The plat or subdivision of Bank Out Lot One Hundred
seventeen (117) and part of Lot Three Hundred fifty-five (355) Original Plat of City of
South Bend, heretofore approved by this board on April 15, 1904, and known as Lary E.
Anderson's subdivision of Bank Out Lot 117 and Lot 355 0. P. South Bend, together with
all the streets, courts and alleys heretofore dedicated by the said plat.
The following -property may be injuriously or beneficially effected by such vacation:
Lots 1 to 9 in Mary E. Anderson's Sub -division of B. 0. L. 117 and Lot 355
0. P. City of South Bend. Emma DuShane, Jeanne Putnam, Andrew Anderson.
To enable said tract to be replatted.
Not_ee of this resolution shall be published on the 6th day of April and on the 13th
day of April 1905, in the South Bend Daily Times.
.This Board, at its office in the City Hall on the 18th day of April, 1905 at
10 A. M. will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected
by these proceedings.

- Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That an
improvement be made of the kind, size, lcation and terminal points as follows: Pipe Sewer
in and . along Fellows street from the center line of Monroe street to a point 12' south
of the N. W. Corner of lot 1 in River Side Terrace. Said improvement shall be known and
designated as the FELLOWS STREET PIPE SEWER anD shall be constructed according to the
plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of
this resolution shall be published on the Sth day of April and on the 15th day.of April
1.905, in the South Bend Daily Times and the South Bend Daily Tribune. This Board will give
a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City Hall on the l9th day of April

feet north.`of the S.W. corner of lot 25 in A. H. Cushings addition. Said improvement
shall be known and designated as THE DIAMOND AVENUE PIPE SEWER and shall be constructed
according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed
herewith. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 9th day of April and on the
15th day of April 1905, in the South Bend Daily Times and the South Bend Daily Tribune.

be constructed according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil

ment shall be known and designated as THE MINER STREET CURB & WALK and shall be construct-

Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of SolAth Bend, Indiana: That an
improvement be made of the kind, size, location and terminal points as follows: Paving
with Asphalt on Main street from South line of Washington street to the north line of
Wayne street and on Jefferson street from the East line of LaFayette streets to the
west line of Michigan street. Said improvement shall be known and designated as THE MAIN
AND JEFFERSON STREET ASPHALT PAVEMENT and shall be constructed according to the plans and
specifications prepard by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of this reso-
lution shall be published on the 8th day of April and on.the 15th day of April, 1905,
in the South Bend Daily Tribune and the South Bend Daily Times. This Board will give a
hearing on this resolution at its office in the City Hall on the 18th day of April, 1905,
at 7:15 P. M.

Contract for the Street Sprinkling for the year of 1905, awarded to the
City Sprinkling Co.
Engineer filed assessment roll for awards and damages for the opening of
William street, under Copdemnation resolution no. 19.
The Board having under consideration the assessments of benefits and the awards
of damages in the Condemnation proceedings brought under Condemnation Resolution
No. 192 adopted on the 4th day of Mare, 1905, the Board find that the properties
affected by said condemnation are respectively damaged or benefitted in the amounts
shown on the roll of awards and assessments made and agreed upon this 8th day of
April, 19052 which roll of awards and assessments is made a part of this record.
Resolved that notices of the amount of said awards and assessments be per-�onaily
served upon the owners of the properties mentioned, or proper notice given by legal
publication in cases requiring such legal notice, stating that this Board will give
a hearing of such awards and assessments at its office in the City Hall on the 25th
day of April, 1905, at 7:15 P. M.
.VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 39.
Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That
it is desirable to vacate,'the following: Lehman street in the First Addition to
Roseland Park from the East line of Sampson street to the West line of Hoke street
and from the East line of Hoke street to the west line of Ernsperger street. Also
the north and south alleys between lots Ten (10) and Nine (9) Also between lots
Four (4) and One (1), Two (2) and Three (3) of the same plat.
The following property'may be injuriously or beneficially effected by such
vacation:
Lots 22, 232 92 10, 1, 22 32 4, and 30 Lehmans First Addition to Roseland Park.

Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 10th day of April and on
the 17th day of April, 1905, in the South Bend Daily Times.

In the above matter a remonstrance was filed a�,-ainst the Elm street improve-
ment, said remonstrance was overruled. Also a remonstrance filed against the Columbia
street Improvement. Columbia street hearing held over until Tuesday April 25th, 1905,
at 10 A. M.
The Board therefore find in all other streets, excepting Columbia street, in
each and every case in said improvements that the benefits to the property and to
the City of South Bend are equal to the estimated cost of said improvements and the
same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.
Be it resolved that notices be published in the South Bend Daily Times and the
South Bend Daily Tribune on the 13th and the 20th day of April, 1905, to the effect
that this Board will receive Uids for said improvements up to 10 a. M. on the 25th
day of April, 1905. The,Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

Vacation -'Resolution No. 38, pays unto the Treasury of said City the sum of $20.00.

Petition filed for the opening of Hoke street from Vistula avenue south to the
L. •S. & M. S. R. R.
Bids were received for sewer and water connections on the following streets, -

Scott street. Sane were referred to the Engineer for tabulation.

CONDEMNATION RESOLUTION NO. 19.
Resolved by the Board of Public Works of .the.City of South Bend, Indiana: That the
following described.property be appropriated for the use of said city:
A strip of land three feet in width north and south off of and from the entire
North side of Four (4) in Rockstroh's First Addition to the City of South Bend. And
a strip of land three feet in width North and south off of and from the entire south
side of lot five in said addition.
The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected by such appropriation.
Lot Four Rockstrohs First Addition to South Bend. Mrs. Sack.
Lot Five Do. M. M. Dinan.
Lots 6.7,9,9,10,11,12.13 in Dinan's Sub Division .
