The City Clerk was instructed to notify all telephone, telegraph, electric light and all other companies having wires in the City of South Bend, Indiana, to raise the- ir guy wires at once to &t:lea§t-.eight feet above the ground. 91 1 . �1• PrE The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. All members present. Remonstrance filed against the Ashland avenue pavement. Communication received from Chief of Police McWeeney, stating that the Grand Trunk Railroad Compa-iy had no watchmen at their corssings at Laurel street.and at Walnut street on Saturday March 4th, 1905. City Attorney Dunnahoo was instructed to take the matter up with the Railroad Company with instructions to start suit if not taken care of immediately. The Board having under consideration the presence of a large number of drays and, delivery wagons on the public .streets and particularly in front of the County building. IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the space under the Colfax avenue bridge be set apart for the use of standing drays, subject to the rights of the public in such space as a thoroughfare. The Police Department is 'instructed to make this order effective at once. The Proposition of Mrs. Almond Bugbee for the donation of a Fountain for Leeper Park is hereby in all things accepted. 160 Saturday march llth, 1905. The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That it is desirable to vacate the. -following: A strip of land twenty (20) feet wide East and West by one -hundred thirty-two and one half (132 1/2) feet ''long North and South, taken off of the West side of Lot No. Three (3) in Elliot Tutt's addition -to the City of South Bend. An egg shape single ring brick sewer in and along south'Main street from the end of the present sewer at Broadway to the middle of Indiana avenue. Said improvement shall be known and designated as the SOUTH MAIN STREET LOCAL SEWER IMPROVEMENT and shall be constr- ucted according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 239• Resolved by the.Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That an improvement be made of the kind, size, location and terminal points as follows: Sprinkling from the 15th day of April, 1905 to the 1st day of November, 1905, of the following streets,— Michigan street from Navarre street. to Broadway, Main street from Navarre street to South Street, Lafayette street from Navarre street to Monroe street, Taylor street from Washington street to one—half block of aTefferson street, LaSalle avenue from Michigan avenue to Michigan street, Colfax avenue from Michigan street to Lafayette street, Washington street from Vistula avenue to Scott street, Jefferson street from St. Joseph street to Taylor street, Wayne street from St. Joseph street to Main street.
