Main street, Pipe Sewer on Osborne street all under improvement resolutions Nos. 177, 196 respectively. No remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed the Board find that the property assessed in said rolls filed August 23rd, 1904 is benefitted in the amount of assessments as shown on said rolls and the Board of Public Works find that the assessment rolls filed August 23rd, 1904 and the final estimate allowed August 23rd, 1904 should be and the same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. Resolved that notices as to the amounts of assessments be published for six consecutive days in the South Bend Daily Times and the South Bend Daily Tribune commencing on the loth day of Spetember 1904, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such assessments at its office in the City Hall on the 27th day of September 1904, at 7:15 P. M. Resolved further that the entire work under the above contr act be accepted and approved and the final estimate there on allowed. Notice of this Resolution shall be published on the loth day of September 1904 in the South Bend Daily Times and the South Bend Daily Tribune, stating that this Board will give a hearing upon the accept— ance of such work at its office in the City Hall on the 27th day of September, 1904, at 7:15 P. Hearing was given on Condemnation Resolution No. 16 adopted on the 23rd day of August 19042 condemning a part of Cherry street described as follows: Begin Twenty Two and One half (22 112) feet west of the intersection of the South line of Jefferson street and the East line of Cherry street, thence West Twenty- two and one half (22 112) feet, thence South to the North line of the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railroad's Right of Way; thence South-easterly with the North line of Right of way of said Lake Shore & Michigan Southern Railroad to a point South of begining, thence North to place of begining. In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed The Board therefore find the said resolution of appropriation should be and the same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approvedq and said described property should be and the same is hereby condemned and appropriated for Public use. 0 President. Plat of the Augustine Addition to the City of South Bend Approved. IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION. NO. 215. Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana. That an improvement be made of the kind, size, location and terminal points as follows: Construction of Cement conctete curbing on College street from Linden avenue to Washington street. Said improvement shall be known and designated as the "COLLEGE STREET CURBING" and shall be constructed according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. ?Notice of this resolution and proposals for bids for the execution of the above work shall be published on the 19th day of September and on the 26th day of September, 1904 in the South Bend Daily Times and the South Bend Daily Tribune. This Board will give a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City Hall on the 4th day of October 1904, at 7:15 P. M and will receive bids up to 10 a. m. on the 5th day of October, 1904. Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City -of South Bend, Indiana: That an improvement be made of the kind, size, location and terminal points as follows: The construction of Cement Curbing and sidewalks on .both sides of Quincy street and grading said street to its full width from Cottage Grove avenue to Allen Street. Said improvement shall be known and designated as the "QUINCY STREET GRADE CURB &.WALK and shall be constructed according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of this resolution and proposals for bids for the execution of the above work shall be published on the 19th day of September and on the 26th day of September, 1904, in the South Bend Daily Times and the South Bend Daily Tribune. This Board will give a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City Hall on the 4th day of October - 19049 at 7:15 P. M., and will receive bids up to 10 a. m., on the 5th day of October 1904. Said improvement shall be known and designated as the "CAMPAU STREET CURBS & WALKS" and shall be constructed according to the plans and speeificationd prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of thhis resolution and proposals for bids for the execution of the above works shall be published on the 19th day of September and on the 26th day of September 1904, in the South Bend Daily Times and the South Bend Daily Tribune. Said improvement shall be known and designated as the "WILLIAM STREET GRADE CURB & WALK" and shall be constructed according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer filed herewith. Notice of this resolution and proposals for bids for the execution of the above work shall be published on the 19th day of September and on the 26th day of September 19042 in the South Bend Daily Times and the South Bend Daily Tribune. Resolved by the Board of Public works of the City of South Bend, Indiana : That an improvement be made, of the kind, size, -ilocation and terminal points as follows: Improvement of Scott street from Indiana.avenue to Blanche street by grading the street to its full width and sonstructing cement curbing and cement sidewalks, the curbing to be laid on both sides and the sidewalk only on the east side of the roadway. Said im- provement shall be known and designated as the "SCOTT STREET GRADE CURB & WALK" and shall be constructed according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: That the following described property be appropriated for the use of said city: The use, occupancy and rental for the period of one year of fifty feet off of and from the South side of lot One (1) 3ie k's Addition to the City of South Bend; and more particularly described as 5. of land lying just Forth of East Jeffer- son Street and West of Emerick Street in said City of South Bend. The following described property may be injuriously or beneficially affected by such appropriation; Lot One (1) in Veck's Addition to said City. The purpose of such appropriation is to provide a temporary thoroughfare and public street across said property. Notice of t his resolution shall be published on the 23rd day of September and on the 3,Oth day of September, 1904 in the South Bend Daily Times. This Board, at its office in the City Hall on the 7th day of October, 1904 at 10 A.M. will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by these proceedings. WHEREAS, the Common Council..did on the 9th day of November..r1903 this by ordinance No. 1232 direct and .authorize this board to trade and exchange a strip of ground now owned by the City and described as: 11 feet off of the North side of Lot 61n the South Bend Mfg., Co. addition to the City of South Bend to the Oliver Chilled Plow Works in exchange for a similar strip of land described as; 11 feet off of the north side of lot 5'in the said addition. �- WHEREAS, in pursuance of said ordinance The Circuit Court of St. Joseph County did on the 20th day of November appoint -Miner Listenber.ger, Albert'Meyers, and Ben. F. Dunn appraisors to appraise said strip off of lot 6 and whereas said apprais- ors have filed their report Iwith the Clerk of said Court, placing value of $250 on said strip. Now, therefore, it is resolved by this board that the values of the respective stripes of land are equal and that said strip of land off of lot 5 is of the value of $250, and it is further resolved that this board tender to the said Oliver Chilled Plow Works a deed for said strip off of lot 6 and the said Plow Company now presents its warranty deed for the strip of land of, -,,of lot 5 and also grants to the City a perpetual Right of Way for the Tail Race now constructed on and across the said Lot five, and by unanimous resolution said deed is now accgpted. The Engineer filed assessment rolls and final estimates for the following, to -wit: Pipe sewer on Napier Street from Maple Street to Walnut Street; grade, curb and walk on Orange Street, from alley east of Adams Street to Sadie Street; grade, curb and walk on Blaine Avenue from Michigan Avenue to south end of.Blaine Avenue. Resolved that notices as to the amounts of assessments be published for six con- secutive days in the South Bend Times, and the South Bend Daily Tribune, commencing on the 22nd day of September, 1904, stating the -it this board will give a hearing on the amount of such assessment at its office in the City Hall on the 4th day of oct- ober, 1904, at 7:15 P. Said improvement shall be known and designated as the "FRANKLIN STREET GRADE CURB & WALK." and shall be constructed according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of this resolution and proposals for bids for the execution of the above works shall be published on the 19th day of September and on -the 26th day of September 1904, in -the South Bend Daily Times and the South Bend Daily Tribune. Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That an improvement be made of the kind, size, location and terminal points as follows; Vistula avenue from Kline street to the City Limits at Ernsperger street. By grading said avenue to its full width of sixty-siz (66) feet and constructing cement curbing on each side of the roadway as shown on plans . All dirt in excavation shall be used to make the fill at the Denslow or Springbrook culver. Said improvement shall be known and designated as the "VISTULA AVENUE GRADE & CURB"/and shall be constructed according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. RESOLVED BY Tr1E BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: That the following described property be appropriated for the use of said city: The use,. occupancy and rental for the period of one year of fifty feet off of and from the South side of lot One (1) Iie k's Addition to the City of South Bend; and more particularly described as 570f land lying just North of East Jeffer- son Street and West of Emerick Street in said City of South Bend. The following described property may be injuriously or beneficially affected by such appropriation; Lot One (1) in Heck's Addition to said City. The purpose of such appropriation is to provide a temporary thoroughfare and public street across said property. WHEREAS, in pursuance of said ordinance The Circuit Court of St. Joseph County did on the 20th day of November appoint -Miner Listenberger, Albert'Meyers, and Ben. F. Dunn appraisors to appraise said strip off of lot 6 and whereas said apprais- ors have filed their report with the Clerk of said Court, placing value of $250 on said strip. Now, therefore, it is resolved by this board that the values of the respective stripes of land are equal and that said strip of land off of lot 5 is of the value of $250, and it is further resolved that this board tender to the said Oliver Chilled Plow Works a deed for said strip off of lot 6 and the said Plow Company now presents its warranty deed for the strip of land off', of lot 5 and also grants to the City a perpetual Right of Way for the Tail Race now constructed on and across the said Lot five, and by unanimous resolution said deed is now accepted.
