ORDINANCE NO. 72? 7-fie AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING MONIES FROM THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ACCOUNT TO THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES ACCOUNT STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: In order to provide funds for the expansion of the South Bend Fire Department' s ambulance program, it is necessary to transfer certain funds from the Fire Department account to the Emergency Medical Services account. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS: Section I . That the following accounts be adjusted as described below: FIRE DEPARTMENT DECREASE THE FOLLOWING ACCOUNTS 4110.16 Salaries & Wages, Reg. $ 37,000.00 4120.16 Salaries & Wages, Temp. 2,800. 00 4130.16 Extra & Overtime 2, 300.00 4154 .16 Clothing Allowance 1,600.00 Total $ 43,700.00 EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES INCREASE THE FOLLOWING ACCOUNTS 4110.18 Salaries & Wages, Reg. $ 37,000.00 4120 .18 Salaries & Wages, Temp. 2,800 .00 4130.18 Extra & Overtime 2,300. 00 4154.18 Clothing Allowance 1,600. 00 Total $ 43 ,700 .00 Section II. Taylor, Fire Chief July 5 , 1988 South Bend Common Council County-City Building South Bend, IN 46601 Honorable Council Members : Due to the approaching implementation of the expanded ambulance program, it is necessary to provide for the payment of certain personnel related expenses in the E.M.S. Department by trans- ferring funds from the Fire Department budget to the E.M.S. budget. The attached bill details the requested transfers and will ensure that sufficient funds will be available for the expenses listed above. As always, I am available to answer your questions.
