AN ORDINANCE SETTING THE ANNUAL SALARY FOR THE
MEMBERS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL FOR THE CALENDAR
YEAR 1989.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
The Council is required by the Indiana law to set the annual compensation
of all elected City officers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE SOUTH BEND COMMON COUNCIL, as
follows:
SECTION I: Each member of the Common Council of the City of South Bend
shall be paid from the General Fund the following annual salary for the calendar
year 1989:
1989: $12,400
SECTION II: The City Clerk shall publish this ordinance twice in two (2)
English language newspapers of general circulation at least thirty (30) days prior
to the date of the final passage by the Common Council.
SECTION III: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.
