Porch Repair/Rebuild:
• Deconstruct the current porch removing all decking
• Level out porch base
• Repair porch apron and re-deck the porch with treated boards. We will enclose the ends
of the deck boards with mitered edges the connect to the apron for clean, neat
appearance See photo for example of mitered edges of porch and how the deck boards
will sit within the apron
• Repair where needed, and reinstall porch columns
• Repair where needed, and reinstall porch railing
• Rebuild stairs
• Build handrails to match the style of the porch railing
We plan to reuse as much of the original materials as possible but some pieces are past
restoration and must be replaced. There is little left of the original decking. Our goal is to build
a sturdier version of the current porch. The goal is to maintain the general appearance of the
current porch
Brick Walkway Repair
• Remove and repair the brick walkway that runs behind the house extending it an
additional 10 feet to reach the porch steps on the south side of the house. Plan to
remove current bricks, level the area and replace walkway using saved bricks filling in
with new matching bricks as needed
Window/Siding Repairs
• Repair and replace moldy window sashes and rotted siding boards as needed. Repairs
and replacements will be in the same style and using the materials as those we remove
