• Larry King will be reporting
o Continue Virtual Neighborhood Business Labs will go until October
2020

o Attend weekly budget meetings on Wednesdays
o Antonious is working on greenhouse project to provide MWBE
contractors opportunity
o Partnering with Community Investment on $5,000 resiliency grant
o Attended Community Action Group to discuss police force of use
o Attended Consuela’s ribbon cutting at 2201 Lincolnway West
o Finalize 60 day strategy of living cities grant
o Working on strategy with HR. Currently looking at (Intercultural
Development Inventory)
o Diversity training with Police Department
o Diversity training with Code Enforcement
o Speaking with SBERP about women entrepreneurship programs
o Working to comprise a newsletter; anticipated to go out end of
October
VI. Kara BPW Report
• No waivers have been submitted for bids at this time
VII. Michael Schmidt Report
• DFO- Still work in progress
• Still working to develop indicators for MWBE
• May 1, 2020-present
o Minority Owned Spent dollars $456, 591.73
Large portion tied into Public Works projects
o Women Owned Spent dollars Over $1.3 million
Large portion tied into Public Works projects
o Total between Minority & Women $1.8 million
o Does not reflect cost of sub-contractors
VIII. Old Business
a. All members of the IPC board have been sworn in as of
8/19/202
i.Board President thanks everyone for getting this completed
b. Board Training held on 8/18/20

IX. New Business
a. Press Release
i.Reviewed draft of press release (recognized the name change to Inclusive Procurement
Board) This will be new to the public
ii.Board member recognized the importance to remain focused on the initial goal around the
IPC board and for communication to be shared to keep the board up-to-date

b. Status of the Diversity Report
.City has sent additional correspondence to Collette Holt & firm in regards to
disparity student
i.City has received data from Collette Holt & firm, city officials are reviewing the data
ii.More information can be shared next month
c. New structure of the meeting utilizing Robert’s Rule
